These are exciting
days to be a New Democrat. As our party gears up to fight the
next election campaign, I’d like to take this opportunity to
tell you about some of the new ways we are bringing our message of
economic prosperity, social progress and environmental responsibility
to the people of Saskatchewan.
As always, your New Democratic MLAs and candidates are busy
knocking on doors in communities and neighbourhoods right across the
province, sharing our message and, even more importantly, listening to
the views, concerns and dreams of Saskatchewan people.
I have always enjoyed getting out and meeting the people of
Saskatchewan. That's why I make it a priority to
attend hundreds of events a year all around this great province.
With modern technology comes modern communications and the Internet
revolution is not stopping at the doors of politics. That is why I have
joined thousands of Saskatchewan residents on one of the
internet’s largest social networking groups,
Facebook. Now, Facebook members can contact me with comments,
questions and new ideas. It’s also a great way to
show support for our party.
Whether it be good old fashioned mixing and mingling with
neighbours and friends, or using exciting new forums like
Facebook, it is all about reaching out to people, and listing to their
hopes and dreams, and ideas about how to make life better here in
Saskatchewan.
We have worked hard, as a government and as a party, to make
Saskatchewan the best place to live, work and raise a family. Together,
we can ensure that the benefits of that hard work are enjoyed
by all Saskatchewan families for generations to come.
As Saskatchewan moves forward into the 21st century, partnerships
between First Nations and Government, First Nations and industry, First
Nations and educational institutions are more important than ever
before.
