
The Provincial Executive
Between provincial conventions the Provincial Council is the governing body of the party. It meets at least a couple of times a year and is made up of about 150 people, including two people from each of the 58 constituencies. Each constituency chooses a female and a male Provincial Councillor who serve a two year term. One of its functions is the approval of the annual operating budget.
The Executive meets about 8-10 times per year and among other things, one of its key roles is the development and oversight of the Party’s operating budget. It has a number of other powers and conducts the affairs of the organization according to the policies set out by Convention and Provincial Council.

The provincial executive is made up of the following people. The executive meets on a regular basis throughout the year.

The Party President: Elected yearly by the provincial convention
The Party Treasurer: Elected yearly by the provincial convention
6 Vice-Presidents: Elected yearly by the provincial convention
5 Council members: Elected yearly by and from the Provincial Council
The President of the Youth Wing: Elected by the youth members of the party
The President of the Women's Wing: Elected by women members of the party
The President of the Aboriginal Wing: Elected by the Aboriginal members of the party
